This was the last and the biggest collectible I did for Weta Workshop before I left. This is 1/4 scale Desaad statue based from Justice League (Snyder's Cut). He stands 550mm from top to the bottom of the base. The whole thing was sculpted in zbrush and we were provided with assets that were used in the film. However, there were a lot of re-sculpts especially with the cape as they don't have thickness on the original model. The challenging part of this figure wasn't the sculpt but the 3d printing preparation - I remember I was scratching my head on how to cut and key those treaded cape pieces for 3d print that could be molded and casted as well. Art directed by Daniel Falconer and sir Richard Taylor, 3d print prep by me, 3D printed in house by David Duke, molded in house by the Weta molding dept, parts casted by Will Harvey, assembled by Leonard Ellis and his team, painted by Jules German and his team. :)
